Second Beta

So, the first beta was 256. If you know nothing about betas, the basic gist of it is that the numbers should double at a certain rate for a viable pregnancy. This early on, the doubling time should be somewhere between 30-48 hours. So today, we were looking for a number of at least 500.

It was 1061! A doubling time of about 23 hours.

Now, keep in mind that there is a snowpocalypse happening in Kansas right now, and the roads were snot-slick. I was bad and answered my phone on the drive home because it was the clinic. I also may or may not have almost put my car in the ditch when the nurse told me that number. I laughed and I also cried big, fat, happy tears the rest of the drive home (which, by the way, took me an hour total--that drive is usually no more than 30 minutes).

Also? I promise you that I'm going to be starting a separate blog for all the Sprout-related posts. I just want to wait until I have several more good appointments under my belt first.

What awesome numbers! So happy for you! And I would have totally answered the phone while driving too. :P
