Keep Breathing

I'm a little over a week into tracking food, and I'm down five pounds.

I still have a long way to go, but five pounds is still good progress. Hell, that's three percent of my starting weight (I know it's not that much, but it's something.), and I'm shooting for fifteen percent. So... Hooray!

BoyWonder took his test yesterday, so this particular feeling of control I have over my weight is just about the only sense of control I've got right now. There is a lot hanging in the balance, and I have control over none of it. So, I wait. And diet.

What I'm ready for is some time to myself. Time to exercise to some cheesy videos, take a bubble bath, read a book, play on my new Wii (I'm the last person on Earth to buy one, I think), play with polymer clay, crochet... You know. Time to do whatever I want to do. To cleanse my brain.
