It's been a week. I'm exhausted, to be honest. Right now I'm about halfway through the invitations, and it's taking forever. I write on them, stuff them, stamp them, seal them, and put them in the mail. I've got 21 of them out so far. Many of them will be hand delivered, mostly because I don't see the need to pay $1.o3 per invitation on postage for people we see often. That's just silly. I mean, that's more than the invitations cost! It's ridiculous.
I'm ready to move on to the next thing... whatever that might be. We did a walkthrough of the property last week. It's as beautiful as I remember, but that made it difficult to think about the placement of everything. BoyWonder's mom is looking into tables and chairs for me, his sister is throwing the shower. I've been mostly making lists of what needs to be done and who needs to do it, having nightmares, and throwing invitations together at a snail's pace. Thursday I'm going to try to make a trip to the craft stores to get an idea of what decorations I want. We need to look at vases and ribbons and cake decorating equipment... I also need to get the kids started on making luminaries soon if that's going to happen.
So... What else can I say? I'm caught in a wedding whirlwind praying for a break.
