Day 8: A picture that makes you laugh.

This is my brother Wade. I'm not sure how old he was here, but I think he was maybe eleven or twelve. I had just inherited my great-grandfather's camera (a Pentax ME-Super, from the seventies), which really means that while my grandfather and his siblings were squabbling over who got what and what would get sold, my grandpa handed me the bag and said "Take this, and never tell anyone I gave it to you."

It's still one of my very favorite things, even though I haven't shot with it in over two years (film is expensive, and so is getting it developed).

Basically, I was practicing focusing (no auto-focus back then). I focused on Wade's head, and then said his name. He turned toward me, and this is the result.
