Procrastinator

Apparently I fail at regularly-scheduled blogging.

BoyWonder was on vacation (a furlough, really, but around here we call it vacation), which means I had no time to myself for an entire two weeks. It was... something.

The good news is that we survived Christmas. And New Year's Eve.

The bad news is that I have to do birthday stuff for five people in the next month... And if you expand the time frame a little bit, my stepdad's birthday is at the end of February.

But, more good news: In 19 days we see the urologist. Nineteen days. Man, time flies.

On the one hand, I'm looking forward to at least having a few answers. On the other hand, my body has been really erratic since September and I'm afraid that we'll spend all kinds of money on the swimmers and then have nowhere for them to swim. Or that we'll bankrupt ourselves trying to have a baby, which is not something I want. I mean, assume I have to do six rounds of clomid. My insurance covers nothing, no single part of that. If I'm right, you're supposed to have at least one round of blood work and an ultrasound every month. That's above and beyond what we can afford without me taking a second job or forcing BoyWonder to work overtime every day.

So that's my worry for the moment.

Well... I think that's about it for now. So here are some random updates about things you don't really care about:

My extended family draws names for Christmas. My fourteen-year-old cousin drew my name, and part of me was afraid I'd end up with one of those awful gift sets of makeup or something similar... But instead, he (with the help of his mother, of course) got me two skeins of homespun, hand-dyed alpaca yarn, from his grandmother's alpacas. Awesome.

Today I'm taking said yarn to the LYS to be wound into balls. I still have no idea what I'm going to do with them, except that's there is just enough yarn for perhaps a skinny scarf. I'm considering buying one or two colors of some different alpaca to supplement, but I'll have to see what they have in the shop today.

Also on the agenda for today: bankrupting myself paying for college classes. Completely necessary if I ever want to escape the Hell that is my job, but it still feels like a ripoff considering I don't really feel like I've learned anything relevant in the last three semesters. But it puts me six credit hours closer to leaving my shithole job. Woohoo!

I got Wii Fit Plus for Christmas. This might be a testament to how freaking out of shape I am, but that thing kicks my ass. And it called me obese the other day, which hurt my feelings... but it also encouraged me to not eat a brownie and instead spend an hour doing stupid Wii Fit workouts.

For now, I think that about sums it all up. I'm hoping to post some pictures soon... But I don't know what pictures. Oh well.
