Man-Nesting.

It's been a really long week in my world.

Have I talked about BoyWonder's nesting problem?

Since the miscarriage and our visit with the RE (which ended with the RE saying he believed we could be pregnant by June), BoyWonder has been making lists of things he wants to get done to the house. He's been driving me crazy with hypothetical home-improvement project questions, ideas, thoughts... It's weird to me because really, it's been possible for me to get pregnant for the entire two years we've been trying, but it's almost like neither of us really believed it would happen. And now we're both frantically trying to get our lives situated.

So anyway. The Man-Nesting. He spent three weeks agonizing over which door to get. Our house is old and our door isn't the 'standard' size, which means that we can get something decorative, but it costs almost double what we would pay for a standard 36" door.

This makes me sad because I really wanted a pretty door, but I didn't want to pay a thousand dollars for one. So, we ended up with the same fan-window door that everyone on our street has.

Monday, BoyWonder called in to work so the contractor could come out and install the door. I get home from work and the contractor is gone for the day, but the door doesn't open all the way. The dude installed the door inside the door frame... So the door only opened 90 degrees instead of the full 180 degree swing we were expecting. It was obviously wrong. I was pissed.

Yesterday he came back out and re-installed the door. And it opens all the way. You don't have to lean on the handle to get the door shut (like our old, sad door).

One project is done.

I'm making him wait a few weeks before we start anything else, because another project any sooner will probably kill me.

(I was going to post a neat-o before and after picture, but photoshop hates me today. So... yeah.)

In other news... clomid makes me a crazy person. I've got hot flashes and mood swings and a lot of the time I feel like I need to slap someone. I haven't actually slapped anyone yet, but I just know it's coming.

And I had a job interview yesterday, for the same company I work for now, but the position is in human resources. I don't know if I'll get it or even how badly I want it, but I'm making the leap anyway. It will be a nice change, and I'm ready for something new. Also, once I'm trained in HR I can start applying for jobs at other companies.

I think that's all for now. Nothing major, at least, not right now.
